Page design elements include textual details, such as the font and style of the chapter titles and the main text, or the use of stylistic tools such as making the first letter of a chapter substantially larger than the rest of the text (called a "drop cap"). Watermarks and glyphs (small graphic symbols) can also be used in a simple text layout to accentuate plot development and scene changes.
