Why do we need to meet?
In today's competitive marketplace, launching a book requires the right resources, along with proven relationships with industry leaders and the nation's top media outlets. Very few companies have the experience and infrastructure necessary to help authors through every stage of the publishing and publicity process. To further complicate the issue, authors choosing a publisher simply based on what they see online are often left with books of poor quality and limited distribution. You really need an organization that has a successful history and the service options to help you reach your goals.
Why we are willing to pay for it?
We want you to see the resources and meet the professionals at the firm you are entrusting your life's work to, as well as be able to make educated decisions about the future of your book. To that end, BookPros will reimburse travel expenses (airplane, train, driving, etc.) up to $500 for authors who come to visit us and ultimately become clients. We really feel it is important to make a strong personal connection with our authors, and this visit helps get the relationship off to a successful beginning.
